A host of New York fans have created a "charity" site to help lure LeBron James to the Knicks when he becomes a free agent in 2010, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

The donations will go towards a "welcome gift basket" that will include a Ferrari, a suite at Yankee Stadium, and additional salary.

Donnie Walsh semble faire l'unamité, je le connais pas mais c'est un vieux monsieur qui a l'air de plaire a tout le monde.

There is a report on ESPN that states Donnie Walsh is expected to sign on with the Knicks are season’s end.

It’s a three-year deal worth $15 million to come in when the season ends and preside over basketball operations here, according to the report. Right now, the Knicks are not commenting on the late-breaking information.

There was some whispering in the locker room after tonight’s loss.

“I have no thoughts on it,” Jamal Crawford said of the report. “I don’t want to speculate. I want to be here with Isiah.”

We don’t know what any of this means for Isiah Thomas, who’s been making all of the decisions since Dec. 23, 2003. He seems to like Donnie Walsh, but you can imagine how awkward this situation might become if another change is not made in short order.

Welsh viendrais a NY en tant que president

It has already been speculated that if Walsh joins the Knicks he could bring in former Sixers GM Billy King to be the GM and possibily Mark Jackson, Scott Skiles or Celtics assistant coach Tom Thibodeau to coach the team.

Je crois qu'il a un gros contrat, je pense pas qu'il disparaisse completement, mais sa capacité de "nuisance" devrait diminuer quand meme

NY met ainsi fin a une serie de 7 défaites d'affilé a domicile, jamais vu depuis 1963...

Mutombo talks about his experience with Isiah Thomas during his short time as a Knick:

After one season with New York in 2003-04, Mutombo was told by then-general manager and now head coach of the Knicks Isiah Thomas that the day had come, and that blunt message has driven him for the past four years.

"It's still a wound," Mutombo said. "My wife and I still talk about it. It's still a bit sad to see the commissioner coming and all those people coming to celebrate the 17 years of my career and accomplishments and you look back and say that about (four) years ago, I had a guy tell me that I couldn't play basketball no more, to go to the beach and onto vacation. That's the same guy who's losing his job tomorrow.

"I never said nothing (to Thomas)," Mutombo said. "The last time we played at the Garden (Jan. 9), my wife asked me to go shake his hand, to just forgive him. I went and shook his hand and I told him, 'On behalf of my wife, I want to shake your hand and I forgive you for everything you've done to me.'

"He said, 'Tell your wife I said thank you so much.' That was the way to put it behind me.

"I think it helped me a lot. You might not be appreciated by everyone. But you have to fight your own war."

The Knicks traded his rights to Chicago in August 2004 and one month later he came to the Rockets, where he quickly became beloved.

You may be reading Rick Carlisle's name elsewhere and even hearing it on the radio, but let me assure you that if and when Donnie Walsh takes over the Knicks, Carlisle will not even get a phone call, let alone an interview. I have heard this from several different sources close to Walsh. If it's not Isiah -- and as I've reported I don't believe that is a given, it's just plausible -- you can expect Scott Skiles and Herb Williams to get first crack. Mark Jackson will be on the list, for sure, but would bat third in the order. Jackson would have to wow Dolan, which we know he has the ability to do.

La meilleur opération des Knicks depuis des années....Herb est là pour finir la saison.
Place aux rumeurs maitenant, entre les départs, les arrivées potentiel, quelle coach pour cette team, qui à la tête du club...enfin, on a pas fini de poster ici....

Maintenant comme dit Steve l'intersaison devrait etre agitée et c'est tant mieux, j'espère que Walsh va nous remettre en place une équipe qui fera à nouveau la fierté de New-York !
